There are five main hospitals that provide services for West Hampshire residents, including:
The Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital is run by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It houses a Diagnosis and Treatment Centre (DCT) and also provides a comprehensive range of services from specialist cancer services and haemophilia services to emergency services.
Royal Hampshire County Hospital is run by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It hosts a wide range of general hospital services including accident and emergency, general and specialist surgery, rehabilitation, chemotherapy, diagnostic services, out-patient clinics and paediatric care.
Florence Portal House is also located on this site, which provides maternity and neonatal services and an education centre.
The Royal Bournemouth Hospital is provided by The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and houses a large number of inpatient and outpatient services.
BMI Sarum Road Hospital in Winchester, Hampshire is part of BMI Healthcare, The hospital has 48 beds with all rooms offers a variety of services.
Salisbury District Hospital which is run by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust offers a variety of planned and emergency care services.
Southampton General Hospital (SGH), provided by University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, hosts a large number of specialist services, including special intensive care units, an emergency department (ED) and eye casualty as well as general outpatient clinics.
There are six community hospitals in West Hampshire, including:
The War Memorial Hospital is run by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It provides in-patient rehabilitation, day hospital services and a minor injuries unit, and a new outpatient unit opened in 2010. The site also houses the Countess Brecknock House Hospice, which provides six in-patient beds, day care, and a base for Macmillan Nurses.
Work commenced in January 2013 on adapting space in The Arch Clinic on the Fordingbridge site whilst x-ray continued to be provided in the hospital in the old workhouse building. The adaptations included:
• formation of a new entrance
• some internal partitioning to provide waiting, changing and WC facilities, as well as an x-ray room
• additional concrete foundation strips, together with structural support
• a new electricity supply
• x-ray protection is also being provided
• new IT links.
Hythe Hospital hosts a variety of outpatient clinics including podiatry, gynaecology, dental and orthopaedics.
Romsey hospital benefits from inpatient rehabilitation and palliative care beds and a British Heart Foundation heart failure clinic. Other clinics also available are: child health, personal dental services, continence advisory service and hearing aid and hearing therapy clinics.
Lymington New Forest Hospital opened in 2007. The hospital provides both scheduled and acute care to patients. It is also home to a Minor Injuries Unit. WHCCG has recently held a review of services at Lymington, the results of the listening exercise can be found here.
This hospital holds many outpatient clinics ranging from stroke, diabetes, heart disease, mental health, urology and ear, nose and throat.

Southampton NHS Treatment Centre, is based at the Royal South Hants Hospital.

The Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital offers services to the NHS.
New Hall Hospital Salisbury
New Hall Hospital Salisbury provides a range of treatments and services for NHS patients, such as hip and knee replacements, and cataract removal. Physiotherapy and Radiology is also available.
