Public meeting to take place on Parkside Practice proposals

Share your views on a proposal on the future of Parkside Practice at a public meeting taking place this Thursday. Have your say at the Velmore Centre, in Eastleigh, tomorrow (Thursday 4 February 2016, 2.00pm - 6.00pm).

We are keen for patients to have their say about proposed changes to GP service provision in Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford.

The proposal is that, from April, North Baddesley surgery would deliver services from Knightwood Surgery so they can meet increasing demand from new patients and provide additional clinics. Parkside Family Practice would consolidate their services at Eastleigh Health Centre and no longer provide services at Knightwood Surgery. As a result of this proposed change, approximately 2,700 patients in SO52 and SO53 postcodes would transfer from Parkside Family Practice to North Baddesley Surgery. This would not affect the patient’s right to register with a practice of their choice but ensure all patients remain registered with a local GP.

We urge patients affected by this proposal to get involved with the consultation. We are keen to hear the comments and concerns from everyone in the communities affected, so that we can all make an informed decision.

More information can be found on Parkside Practice's website. You can also share your views by emailing WHCCG.KnightwoodFeedback@nhs.net.
