West Hampshire CCG Board bolstered by new lay member

West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Board has appointed Judith Gillow MBE, to the role of lay member to their Board.

Sarah Schofield, Clinical Chair, West Hampshire CCG said: ‘CCGs are clinically led organisations, and with such an impressive track record throughout her career in nursing and in senior NHS roles, I am delighted to welcome Judith as a lay member. I have no doubt she will add a great deal of value to our board and for the people of west Hampshire’.

With previous board experience and as a director of nursing and organisational development Ms Gillow has a track record of delivering improvements to patient care. She was previously a member of the National Quality Review of Nursing and is currently an inspector for the Care Quality Commission. She has gained recognition in her field for leading major transformation programmes and for delivering in the fields of infection prevention, quality improvement, nursing leadership and workforce development.

Judith Gillow MBE, Lay Member for West Hampshire CCG said: ‘I am really pleased to be joining the West Hampshire CCG Board and hope my previous experience in the acute sector as well as in education and research will combine to help deliver ambitious plans to improve the health outcomes for people in west Hampshire.’
