Safeguarding children and adults
All health and care professionals have a duty to protect the welfare of children and adults.
West Hampshire CCG has teams of professionals who specialise in this area and share their expertise more widely, across our organisation and others. Our safeguarding teams also work on behalf of other CCGs in the Hampshire area.

Effective Vulnerable Families (Safeguarding) Meetings
Several recent Serious Case Reviews in Hampshire have highlighted the importance of effective information sharing between agencies and the vital role of the Primary Care Vulnerable Family Meetings. To help practices conduct effective, time efficient meetings we have developed some guidance about these meetings. In some area's of Hampshire midwife attendance at these meetings is poor so the guidance includes contact details for the midwifery service in each area. There is also a helpful tool, the Risk/Protective Factor triangle, to aid safeguarding discussions.
